That candidate is Jerry Brown, the Democrat who's bio seems to be coming full circle in his quest for another stint in the job that made him one of the most recognizable figures in California politics.

John Meyers: "A lot of discussion this week about your evolution in politics... How does the public distinguish evolving, as a politican might, from someone who sticks their finger in the wind and says, wherever you want to go, I'll go that way."
Jerry Brown: "I have a consistent record of fighting for the environment, fighting for workers rights, I've taken the position in support of the underdog and pioneering new ideas... No one dreamed in the 70's that solar energy and wind or geothermal or efficiency could be a major source of our energy going forward. Yet California led the world! So I have a consistency..."
