Statement:

I would like to see our next Governor support the pursuit of Zero Waste as a key climate change and jobs creation policy. The CA Integrated Waste Management Board (CIWMB) adopted Zero Waste as a goal in 2001. With the elimination of the CIWMB in December 2009, it is not clear whether this goal will continue to be supported by the State.
