Honestly, so what? She will vote against it, but hasn't done anything to oppose it. Waffling on it for a few weeks doesn't count.

Even worse, Whitman is sticking to her year-old promise to suspend the same law that Prop 23 would repeal ON HER FIRST DAY IN OFFICE if elected governor. The bottom line: Whitman can not be trusted to continue California's leadership on clean energy and climate change.

Jerry Brown's clean energy plan (available on his Web site for months) shows he is prepared to make California a leader.

Brown got CLCV's endorsement for governor the old-fashioned way: He earned it.
