Statement:

This program at LATTC is a grant-funded program, funded by the Obama Administration and initiated here in LA by the Office of the Mayor. LATTC decided to focus their program solely on sustainability. Students attend workshops on sustainable leadership, energy audits at home, and are even starting a community garden on campus with drought-tolerant plants and organic vegetables and fruit. We are starting a type of "green governor" campaign on campus registering student voters and building awareness of the "green governors" on the ballot and a No on Prop 23 campaign here on campus and possibly district-wide.
