As an Oakland resident who used to live in San Francisco, I'm disappointed that Newsom dropped out. He brought good energy to the race, and now there aren't any officially declared Democrats. What is Jerry Brown waiting for?

Why exactly does Senator Feinstein need this kind of attention? I find this game with the media and the public a bit strange. And I have yet to meet anyone who thinks an uncontested primary -- for either party -- is a good idea.
