New Democratic Candidate Proposes Desalination Plan
So if you've been reading my posts you know by now I am frustrated with the idea of Jerry Brown running unnopposed. Well, I just found out that there is an unknown candidate running in the democratic primary. His name is Richard Aguirre and his website is www.aguirreforgovernor.com. Aguirre is proposing desalination to address water issues such as those raised recently with the passage of legislation for a peripheral canal. Does anyone out there know the merits of such a proposal? Aguirre is also proposing a state run solar energy company. Well, that sounds like a good idea even if it defies the standard profit driven renewable energy models. He says the profits can be used to address the states budget deficit. At the very least we should give this guy an opportunity to challenge Jerry Brown so that Brown will be forced to explain his enviromental platform.
