Agricultural Collapse?
So I was at a party with some friends and the subject of eco-collapse came up. Yes, I know, you're wondering what kind of lame parties I go to. Well, if this is not your idea of a good time I don't blame you. Maybe I'm masochistic or something. At any rate, I began wondering if there was any scientific support for these ideas or if this was just a case of pseudo-intellectual apocolyptic one-upmanship. Then I discovered this article:www.energybulletin.net/node/281So, the three choices are reduce our population voluntarily, involuntarily, or face a large scale "die off" due to food shortages. Even if you disagree with the conclusion one thing is certain; California needs to enact more sustainable agricultural practices. Now, someone out there tell me there is not a scientific consensus on the future "die off" scenario and send me some links. It will help me sleep at night.Thanks.
