Jonathan Parfrey of Green LA

Jonathan Parfrey is the Director of the Green LA Institute, and was previously the Director of the Green LA Coalition. These organizations work together to provide vision, expertise and community support toward making Los Angeles the greenest big city in America. The Green LA Coalition now includes over 100 environmental and environmental justice organizations.

Prior to working for the Green LA Coalition, Jonathan spent thirteen years as director of Physicians for Social Responsibility - LA. He was also one of the founders of the LA Environmental Executives Roundtable.

In this interview with CLCV's Jenesse Miller, Jonathan shares his vision for what a greener governor would do. He steps back from specific policy proposals to describe the leadership characteristics the next governor should have, and the basic work that person must do in order to repair the relationship between Californians and their government.
