Gubernatorial endorsement Sept. 21
The California League of Conservation Voters launched the "Build a Greener Governor" campaign one year prior to the November 2nd general election, when voters will choose their next governor. Our goal: to involved as many of our members and other environmental voters in California in a conversation about what it would take for the candidates to be able to claim the title of "environmental champion."
Now we're less than two months from that election, and, having finished our endorsement process and candidate interviews, CLCV is prepared to make an endorsement in the race. We're confident you'll agree that the candidate we endorse is the one with a strong record of environmental accomplishments who is capable of leading this great state. You can expect the endorsement early next week.
After we make the endorsement, our "Build a Greener Governor" campaign will remain an invitation to all environmental voters, no matter your party affiliation, to get involved in this important election and tell the candidates your expectations regarding their environmental platforms. We hope you will stay engaged with this campaign, not only through November 2nd but beyond, when this campaign becomes more focused on holding the next governor accountable to their environmental promises.
